Backsberg Cellars boasts 100 years of winemaking history. Fourth generation, Simone Back and his team are taking Backsberg Cellars to a new level of excellence, to further cement the existing reputation for innovative and quality set by his father.

While sipping their wines you can feel comfortable in the knowledge that they have extended their gentle approach to wine making to care for the environment and the wine you are enjoying is certified carbon neutral.

Eight of the best French oak barrels in their cellar have been assembled to achieve this deeply concentrated full bodied white blend.

Vinification: Grapes with intense flavor are selected in the vineyard and only small batches of each cultivar are used to produce this noteworthy wine. The various cultivars are fermented in isolation in new French oak and left on the lees for 6 months. The desired, best blend is then created and the wine is bottled directly from the barrel. Eight of the best French oak barrels have been assembled to achieve
this deeply concentrated white blend. 

Aging Potential: 10-15 years

Tasting Notes: A wonderful medley of coconut, peach and aniseed aromas combined with vanilla undertones on the palate and a creamy, long-lasting finish.

FOOD PAIRING: Rich cheeses, full-flavored and creamy food. Particularly complements chicken
and duck. This wine could make an ordinary toasted cheese sandwich look gourmet.
