Merlot 85% & Cabernet Franc 15%
Bordeaux, France
Lacroix is named for the stone cross at the entrance to Chateau Teyssier, the home property in Saint-Emilion of international winemaking star Jonathan Malthus. He sources this from one of the highest altitude, perfectly exposed and lowest yielding vineyards in the Entre-Deux-Mers, on the slopes of the Butte de Launay.
Intense, the nose is dominated by red fruits with hints of vanilla. Medium bodied wine, nose palette confirmation. A Merlot based wine clearly offers an extra dimension of quality. Excellent accompaniment with pasta with red meaty sauces, red meat.
14% ABV
