The Mercouri Estate has been operating since the late 1800s and imported the first Refosco vines from Italy's Friuli region during that time. While Refosco dominates the blend there is also 15% of the iconic red Greek grape, Mavrodaphne. After hand-harvesting and fermenting the grapes, the wine ages for a year in French oak casks.
Deep red color and aromas of red fruits with hints of chocolate and coffee harmonically tied with cinnamon and vanilla scents . Medium volume body, elegant, balanced with full but soft tannins. Aged in French Oak for 12 Months.
