100% Tempranillo
Rioja, Spain
Bodegas Valdemar’s 132-year history began in 1889 with Joaquín Martínez Bujanda and continues today under Jesús Martínez Bujanda, the fourth-generation owner of his family business. A pioneering gene runs in the family, having produced the region's first barrel-fermented white wines in the 1980s and the first Maturana and White Tempranillo wines. Valdemar's passion comes from their estate vineyards spanning the three subdivisions of Rioja. Valdemar unquestionably produces the highest quality wines that Rioja can offer.
Garnet-red color with purple hues, clear and bright. Complex ripe fruit aromas, well integrated with subtle spicy hints of vanilla and caramel. A very rounded, well-balanced wine with a long finish. Fermentation process: Fermentation at a controlled temperature in order to maximize the extraction and preservation of fresh fruit aromas. This wine pairs especially well with charcuterie and medium strength cheeses as well as grille and barbecued meats. Suggested serving temperature 16/18 C.
