Coeur de Terre Pinot Gris comes from multiple vineyards located within the McMinnville AVA. These vineyards, were planted in 1984 and 1985 on soils of volcanic origin located directly facing the Van Duzer Corridor, which is a natural land bridge to the Oregon Coast.
Due to the proximity to the Van Duzer, these sites receive significant cooling breezes in the late afternoons of summer, allowing for longer hang time and greater varietal character development in the fruit.
Coeur de Terre Oregon Pinot Noir include about 100% of fruit from our own Estate Vineyard, using a selection from all of our estate vineyard Pinot Noir blocks.
The Oregon Pinot Noir bottling makes use of vibrant fruit from younger vines combined with more mature fruit from our oldest blocks for structure and balance. Fruit includes Pommard, Wadensville, 113,114,155,667, 777 and Coury clones of Pinot Noir. The soil origins range from Sedimentary, Metamorphic and Volcanic origins. All CdT Vineyard blocks are farmed organically.
Tasting Notes: This vintage offers deep red color and lures you in with its signature Coeur de Terre earthy aromatics, dried herbs followed by notes of cherry and raspberry. It shows nice structure with fine tannins and round mouth feel.
