Pewsey Vale Vineyard's love affair with Riesling started in 1847 when it was the first vineyard planted in Eden Valley. A hidden utopia, our family started to reinvigorate Pewsey Vale Vineyard in 1961. The focus fell sharply on the beauty and diversity of Riesling in its many forms. One vineyard. One variety. One vision. This vision has seen Pewsey Vale Vineyard create the most awarded and beloved Rieslings in Australia.

The first Riesling vineyard planted in Eden Valley more than 170 years ago. Consistent in flavor and quality from vintage to vintage. Flavorful and refreshing with an approachable, soft natural acidity iconic to Eden Valley.

Pale straw with green hues. Intense aromas of fine dried herbs, white flowers, lemons and lime. A long and rich palate, reminiscent of grapefruit, lime and fresh rosemary. The wine finishes with a soft natural acidity which balances the flavor and minerality that is delicious now or will reward medium to long-term cellaring.

Enjoy with fresh oysters, seared scallops, salt and pepper squid, Thai beef salad, or a tomato salad with pickled walnuts and fresh basil.

12% ABV   Unoaked.

Total Acid 6.6 G/L    pH 2.99   Residual Sugar 1.0 G/L

Cellaring Recommendations: Enjoy now or cellar 8+ years, until 2031.

The 2021 vintage release of Pewsey Vale Vineyard has been formally recognized for its sustainable winegrowing credentials, being amongst the first wine labels in Australia to display the Sustainable Winegrowing Australia trust mark. Launched in July 2019, the Sustainable Winegrowing Australia (SWA) program provides the opportunity for winemakers to benchmark their performance and communicate their social, environmental and economic credentials with consumers, who are driving the increase in demand for more sustainable wines. In order to display the trust mark on wine labels and other marketing and packaging materials, members are required to undergo thorough auditing to certify the vineyards and/or the winery.
