For three generations the Tombacco Family has been producing and bottling Italian wines with genuine and intense flavors, in the best wine-making tradition of our country. We work to create different types of products, to satisfy an Italian and foreign market that is both demanding and capable of choosing quality wines at competitive prices. 40% of our production gives rise to around 10 million bottles a year, while the remaining 60% is sold in barrels.

A noble and proud wine that has its roots in history. It leaves in the mouth hints of spices and red fruits, offering mysterious stories and legends.

Tasting notes
A deep red color with purple hues, introduces the Aglianico as a decisive wine, with a complex aroma full of notes of red fruits and spices. The taste is intense, full and enveloping, perfect to combine with rich and flavorful dishes such as roasts and aged cheeses.

ORIGIN
vineyards in the Benevento province

WINEMAKING
the winemaking of the Aglianico is made in a traditional manner through daily pumping over for the fi rst 3-4 days after the harvest. After this initial phase then follows a lengthy daily pumping until the alcoholic fermentation is accomplished. The fermentation temperature is 25°C. When the alcoholic fermentation is over, the décuvage follows and the skins are softly pressed, in order to obtain the best conditions for the start of the malolactic fermentation. After the malolactic fermentation, the wine is racked 2 or 3 times before being transferred partly into steel vats and partly into 500 liters tonneaus for the ageing process. After this, our enologist prepares the cuvée for the bottling of Aglianico I.G.T. Beneventano.

COLOR
dark, deep, rub red, with clear purplish tones.

BOUQUET
this wine is clear and complex, with enjoyable hints of cherry and red berries fragrance, followed by a marked vanilla and spicy note.

FLAVOR
excellent mouth entry, elegant and warm, sapid and full-bodied. Good length and persistence that leaves an enjoyable soft sensation and a pleasant mouth which asks for another sip. With nuances of cherry,
plum and spice.

Aglianico combines very well with all roasted red meats and aged cheeses.

ALCOHOL CONTENT
14% vol.

OPTIMAL SERVING TEMPERATURE

Organic Certification
When we think about our work in the vineyard and in the cellar, our mission is to respect and appreciate the nature. We have therefore chosen to pursue organic certification, which guarantees our choice to carry out non-invasive treatments and implement sustainable processing techniques. We choose to work for the land and with the land, respecting in all our actions the variability of the climate and the conformation of the soil. As in all our activities, the quality of the finished product is essential.

The Valoritalia organization supervises our company for what concerns the organic certification during the production process, guaranteeing the compliance of our work with the requirements of the organic regulations.

Vegan Certification
Offering quality products, in the Vinicola Tombacco spirit, cannot disregard the emerging market demands and consumer needs. The production of vegan wines allows us to be at the forefront on the organoleptic characteristics of the finished product.

We have chosen, when filtering and clarifying the wine, to use only vegetable and mineral derivatives, which allowed us to obtain The Vegan Society, certification, which makes our products accessible without distinctions based on different dietary choices.

BRC e IFS Certification
We pay attention to our business processes on a daily basis, which is the cornerstone for guaranteeing a good level of safety and quality for Vinicola Tombacco’s customers.

BRC and IFS certifications are our warranty seal.
The BRC (British Retail Consortium) certification represent the quality standards required by the British large-scale retail trade. It is based on HACCP and leads the company to standardise the working environment and controls on the product and processes.
The IFS standard (International Food Standard), on the other hand, was set up by French and German supermarket chains and guarantees compliance with hygiene standards and good practices in production processes by all suppliers involved in the production chain.
