At Benevolent Neglect travel from Central to Northern California, coast to mountains, to find vineyards that express their own unique terroirs and make truly standout wines. Every site we work with has a quality to it seen nowhere else. From the limestone bedrock and magic of Enz to the carefully considering experimental plantings at Alder Springs, we ignore distance in search of perfection.

Minimal intervention is likely the best way to describe our winemaking style. The idea of the winemaker is to be the reliable translator - to take what was made in the vineyard from sun, water, and soil and let it become the finest wine that it can be.

We use very little new oak, no oak substitutes, and no industrial additives. If we get the farming right and the weather co-operates we won't do any additions of water or acidity to alter the natural balance of the wine.

We will occasionally ferment with whole clusters if it helps to bring out the best qualities of the vineyard, and try our hardest never to over-extract tannins from the skins and seeds.

All of our red wines are unfined and unfiltered, with some whites getting filtered simply to ensure stability in bottle for the consumer. We believe in transparent winemaking, doing things the natural way, and being open to experimentation. Most importantly, we want to keep having fun with what we do in the cellar.

This Italian white wine blend combines the best of three varietals to create a complex and intriguing profile. On the nose, aromas of fresh tropical fruit, peach, and a hint of minerality. On the palate, flavors of juicy pineapple and citrus are complemented by creaminess from the Chardonnay, and a zesty acidity from the Vermentino and Greco di Tufo. The finish is crisp, clean, and refreshing, with a lingering note of
citrus zest. This wine is a great choice for seafood, light pasta dishes, or enjoyed on its own as an aperitif.

Method
All three varietals were stainless steel fermented at a low temperature to maintain maximum aromatics and freshness then blended.

This lovely Italian style white blend comes from three absolutely incredible CCOF Certified Organic vineyards. We source Vermentino from Grand Vin Vineyard, Chardonnay from Vista Luna Vineyard
both in Sunny Lodi and Greco Di Tufo from Windmill Vineyard in Dunnigan Hills.
