Sangiovese & Montepulciano
Urbino, Montefeltro, Italy
The color, aroma and taste of our wines derive from the character of the men who make them, from the sinuosity of the hills where our vines grow and from the richness and complexity of the cultural heritage preserved for centuries in Raphael's lands. Between the rows there are both international vines and native grapes, the true fulcrum of our work aimed at enhancing varieties such as Biancame, Incrocio Bruni 54, Verdicchio, Montepulciano and Sangiovese grosso.
“For him, wine was a serious business, no grape was taken for granted. To the hours spent with Him experimenting, waiting and tasting. A tribute to dear grandfather Ercole.”
Purple in color with violet veils, the nose recalls blueberry, grape, quince and fig jams with a toasted final note of light spices and cocoa. On the palate it is full, warm, harmonious, with a complex structure, but with a rare balance between power and usability, and an aftertaste with sweet but dry sensations. Ideally tasted at 18°, it gives emotions tasted alone and after sunset. At the table it goes well with red meats, typical cuisines and excesses for aromatic complexity, aged cheeses.
Done in seasoned oak barrels.
Organic.
13.5% ABV
