The 2013 Guado al Tasso is silkier and more vibrant than ever, but is still a wine of great elegance and finesse. In a cool vintage, the Cabernet Sauvignon brought notes of aromatic herbs and mint along with crisp tannins which added length to the finish. Merlot gave concentration and texture with ample sensations of plums and blackberries, while the Cabernet Franc contributed to intensifying the finish with notes of licorice and cassis. Finally, the Petit Verdot added underlying spice notes to the elegant finish.  This is an excellent wine that shows its winemaking pedigree, but make no mistake: It is a proud Tuscan at heart. 14.5% ABV.
