Kavaklidere is the first privately owned winery in Turkey, founded in 1929 in Ankara by the couple Sevda and Kenap Andes. Thanks to decades of successful development, the company has become a leader in its industry. The company owns 645 hectares of vineyards in Anatolia, where the winemaking tradition has more than four centuries. Special microclimatic zones of this region favor the cultivation of European and autochthonous grape varieties.

Since its inception, the winery Kavaklidere follows the principle of "Anatolian wines - from Anatolian grapes . " She presented wines from rare Turkish varieties to connoisseurs of the noble drink all over the world. The success and quality of the company's wines are confirmed by more than 900 medals received at competitions in Turkey and abroad. In 2005, a partnership with the French company Duvigneau SA, Kav Vin Inc. opened the company the opportunity to modernize and enter broader markets.
