"Stake on which the vine is soaked"
The Quinta do Mourão Project begins when Mário Braga decides to return to his origins and acquire five properties located in the Douro. Originally from Vila Nova de Gaia, inevitably, a connection with Port Wine was created.
On the other hand, he married the Douro. In fact, his wife's grandfather made an important contribution to the development of medical practice in Moncorvo. Given his connections, with wine but also with his region, it was no surprise that, in 1972, he acquired Quinta do Mourão together with 4 other properties.
Thus began a great family project that would grow over the years. After the death of his father in 1999, it is without hesitation that Miguel Braga decides to continue the work previously started and make it grow.
