Pavoncelli artichokes are grown in the fertile fields of the Tavoliere delle Puglie, the flat lands surrounding the city of Foggia. that were once a sea bottom. The uniqueness of this soil composition and the abundance of sun exposure help grow the most exquisite artichokes you can find. They are harvested by hand at the peak of ripeness and process them a few miles from the fields where they are grown.
Pavoncelli Whole Artichoke Hearts have an intense flavor and are great to enhance your antipasto trays served alongside cold cuts and cheese but are also exquisite when halved and eaten with bread or diced in pasta or rice salads.
